Computers & peripherals, a key series used in calculating GDP equipment spending fell 0 5% last month. Even so the October level was nicely above the 14Q3 average, which bodes well for 14Q4. Mfg capacity utilization held at 78%.

Abstract

Industrial production fell -0.1% (-0.2% w/revisions) in October; the consensus expected +0.2%. The disappointment was centered in utilities and mining.
